There are thousands of organisations working for education, for health, for children. Very few work through art. The Artiste Foundation is not trying to save artists, organise events or preserve culture – those are consequences.

The Artiste Foundation, in collaboration with Kalavrat Foundation, launched Dharohar Samvaad a unique initiative dedicated to preserving the intellectual and artistic legacy of Kathak through meaningful conversations, documentation and interaction with eminent gurus. The initiative reflects TAF’s continuing commitment to strengthening India’s cultural heritage through dialogue and knowledge-sharing.
The Foundation presented Harmony on International Yoga Day at the iconic Red Fort, New Delhi, celebrating the relationship between culture, wellness and artistic expression. Later the same year, Harmony was presented at Vigyan Bhavan, Ahmedabad, with the support of the Brahma Kumaris, further strengthening the Foundation’s growing national presence and collaborative partnerships.
The Artiste Foundation provided a significant platform for young performers through its participation at the India Designer Show, enabling emerging artists to showcase their talent before wider audiences. The same year, TAF introduced Friday Funkars, a recurring initiative dedicated to celebrating artistic expression and encouraging regular cultural engagement.
During the COVID-19 pandemic, when the performing arts sector faced unprecedented challenges, The Artiste Foundation extended guidance, mentorship and consultation to more than 200 artists. This period reflected the Foundation’s commitment to supporting the artistic community beyond performances, reinforcing its role as a trusted institution during difficult times.
The Foundation launched its first Happiness Concert, an initiative designed to celebrate the positive impact of the performing arts on individuals and communities. The concert reflected TAF’s belief that art has the ability to inspire, connect people and contribute to emotional well-being beyond the stage.
During its formative years, The Artiste Foundation devoted significant attention to artist development and training. The Foundation invited distinguished gurus and practitioners from India and abroad to mentor young artists, creating a strong learning environment focused on artistic excellence, discipline and cultural exchange. This period laid the foundation for TAF’s long-term commitment to nurturing talent.
Demonstrating the power of the performing arts as a medium for social responsibility, The Artiste Foundation organised Save the Children, a fundraising initiative to support relief efforts during the Uttarakhand Floods. The Foundation also presented Applause, a self-funded production that reflected its continued commitment to independent artistic expression.
TAF presented The Magic Man as a special fundraising initiative in support of Venue Eye Centre, with generous support from Mankind Pharma and Bharti Airtel. During the same year, the Foundation independently produced the powerful theatrical presentation Gandhiji Hatya: Ek Aakar Ki, reaffirming its commitment to socially relevant and thought-provoking performances.
The Foundation presented its first major production, Manthan, on the occasion of World Dance Day, marking the beginning of its public cultural journey. Later that year, TAF received its first corporate support from Mankind Pharma and Bharti Airtel for the production The Magic Man, laying the foundation for future collaborations between the arts and the corporate sector.
The Artiste Foundation was formally established on 19 July 2010 with a vision to create meaningful opportunities for artists while strengthening the role of the performing arts in society. This marked the beginning of a long-term commitment towards cultural development, artistic excellence and community engagement.
